Open Mic

An open mic or open mike is live show at a coffeehouse, nightclub, comedy club, institution or pub
where audience member who are amateur performers or professionals who want to try out new material
or plug an upcoming show are given the opportunity to perform onstage .
Typically as the name suggests, the performer is provided with a microphone which is plugged into a PA
system, to make the individual performance loud enough for the audience to hear.

1. It’s an individual competition.
2. First round will be an online round. Each participant must send a 3 min video.
The contestants will be selected in the second round on the basis of their presentation in the video.
The decision will be taken by the organization committee and it will be final and binding.
3. Participants must perform their own, original material. In the second round the selected contestants have to prepare an act of 8-10 minutes.
4. We welcome creativity and freedom of expression of the participant, but comedy on color, caste, religion or gender will not be entertained.
Vulgar and obscene jokes or language won't be allowed at any cost and the participant will be disqualified immediately.
Moreover, the jokes should not be aligned towards any political party; either to blame it or praise it.
5. Marks will be given on the basis of content, fluency, spontaneity, presentation and sense of humor.
